River City Physical Therapy - About Us

River City Physical Therapy was established in 1995 with one fundamental, predominant theme- to provide the most professional, medically sound therapeutic care in North Idaho that is possible.  That underlying theme is the foundation of our service today, and will always be the core of our excellent patient care.

River City Physical Therapy’s mission statement describes not only our commitment to excellence, but our understanding that each patient requires, indeed deserves, individual consideration and treatment, never losing sight of their comfort and needs in that process. We believe that the best patient care must be evidence based, and we strive to continually update our care methods consistent with the updates in the medical community.

Our endeavor is good health, and to that end, we promote, and encourage health practices that we trust will always be of value to our patients, as well as the community at large. To that end, we are proud to be a part of the local communities, with the privilege of serving Physical Therapy in Post Falls as well as the surrounding area. We appreciate that opportunity profoundly, and strive never to lose sight of our "Commitment to Excellence."

It was football and the relationship with the legendary head football coach, Frosty Westering, which brought him to Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington. Ben Wardell - P.T., D.P.T., DN=1 Certified, CrossFit Level 1 Trainer

I was able to join the River City Physical Therapy team in September of 2016. Here I have been able to develop and grow in my relationship with Christ, as a therapist, and as a husband to my wife Sarah.

Growing up in a small town in South Dakota my parents taught me the importance of respect, hard work, and listening. Athletics were a big part of my life growing up. I was a three sport athlete in high school and played 5 seasons of division 2 college football at the University of Augustana. I graduated from the University Of Jamestown, North Dakota with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.

Keeping the energy high, having patients involved and engaged in the treatment, and getting excited about results are my goals. I strive to get people where they want to be by using functional exercise, hands on techniques and provide them with the education and knowledge to better themselves.

I am currently working towards my orthopedic and manual therapy certification to further my learning career.

My interests include Crossfit, fly fishing, hunting, snowboarding and backpacking. I also enjoy spending time with my lovely wife Sarah as we explore everything the Northwest has to offer.
